Two unhurried hours in our Fernvale studio. One real painting on canvas, sketched and painted by your child, ready to hang at home tonight. This isn't a taster worksheet. It's a genuine first lesson, taught the way every ZenArt class is taught. What makes our trial different Most trials hand a child some paint and hope for the best. We start where real artists start: with sketching. Your child learns to look closely and draw what they see first, with close, attentive guidance from the teacher at every step, because a strong sketch is what makes a painting worth framing. Then they bring it to life in colour, on a high-quality 30×40cm canvas that's theirs to keep. What happens in the session Your child joins a small group, never more than 6, and completes one real artwork from first pencil line to final brushstroke. Two full hours means nobody is rushed. While they work, the teacher watches closely: what holds their attention, where they need support, and which of our programmes would suit them best. We place every child in the right group for their age and level. The studio is small and calm. Children who find noisy classrooms difficult often settle in quickly here. Bring a parent along Want to spend the two hours painting next to your child instead of watching from the side? Register a second Trial Class seat under your own name for the same session. You'll each work on your own canvas, side by side, for the full two hours. Good to know Open to all ages, from 4 to adult. Adults and teens can register a trial for themselves too. All materials are included, including the canvas. You bring nothing and take home a finished piece ready to hang. After the session We'll tell you honestly what we saw: where your child's attention went, what they responded to, and which programme would suit them best. Enrol in a full term and your child's first session is free. If it's not the right time yet, we'll say that too. Trial Class is S$45 per person, paid at the studio. This is where your child settles into their own rhythm with art. Not a fixed syllabus everyone follows at the same pace, but ten weeks built around what your child is curious about right now. How the Class Works Each week, your child works with our teacher in a small group for 1.5 hours, choosing colours and subjects that interest them. Some weeks are about building a skill: holding a brush steady, mixing a colour they haven't tried before. Other weeks are simply about finishing something they started and feeling proud of it. Kids Art is for ages 4 to 12, and sessions are grouped by age — 4 to 8 together, and 9 to 12 together — so your child is always working alongside peers at a similar stage. There is no test, no grading, and no single correct way to paint a sunset. If your child wants the sky purple, that is their sunset.
