Two unhurried hours in our Fernvale studio. One real painting on canvas, sketched and painted by your child, ready to hang at home tonight. This isn't a taster worksheet. It's a genuine first lesson, taught the way every ZenArt class is taught.
What makes our trial different
Most trials hand a child some paint and hope for the best. We start where real artists start: with sketching. Your child learns to look closely and draw what they see first, with close, attentive guidance from the teacher at every step, because a strong sketch is what makes a painting worth framing. Then they bring it to life in colour, on a high-quality 30×40cm canvas that's theirs to keep.
What happens in the session
Your child joins a small group, never more than 6, and completes one real artwork from first pencil line to final brushstroke. Two full hours means nobody is rushed. While they work, the teacher watches closely: what holds their attention, where they need support, and which of our programmes would suit them best. We place every child in the right group for their age and level.
The studio is small and calm. Children who find noisy classrooms difficult often settle in quickly here.
Bring a parent along
Want to spend the two hours painting next to your child instead of watching from the side? Register a second seat under your own name for the same session. You'll each work on your own canvas, side by side, for the full two hours.
Good to know
Open to all ages, from 4 to adult. Adults and teens can register for themselves too. All materials are included, including the canvas. You bring nothing and take home a finished piece ready to hang.
After the session
We'll tell you honestly what we saw. Where your child's attention went, when they leaned in close to the canvas, and which programme would suit them. If it's not the right time yet, we'll say that too.
This Session Is Free If You Continue
There is nothing to pay upfront. Come for the two hours, then decide.
If you enrol in a 10-session programme, this session is free and comes off the programme price. A S$400 programme becomes S$360.
If you decide it isn't the right fit, the session is S$45, paid at the studio. That is the entire commitment.
