She moved to New Zealand. Still draws.

Bella was one of our longest-running students. She started with Kids Art when she was six and stayed with us through Watercolour and then Sketching. By the time she was ten, drawing was just something she did — like breathing.

Then her family relocated to New Zealand.

The week before she left, she came to her last session and didn't say much. She finished her piece, cleaned her brushes carefully (she always did that), and gave her teacher a hug on the way out.

A few months later, a photo arrived on WhatsApp. Bella, sitting at a desk in her new room in Germany, sketchbook open, mid-drawing. Her mum had written: "She made friends at school by drawing with them at lunch. Thought you'd want to know."

We did want to know.

This is what we work toward — not a grade or a certificate, but something portable. A practice that travels with a child wherever they go.
