A Raining Night was painted on a rainy day in Singapore, but the brush went somewhere else entirely: back to Vietnam, to a village market alive with motion. My parents standing under a shared umbrella, quietly tending their beef stall as the rain fell. Vendors balancing baskets on their shoulders, pressing on through the downpour.
The deep blues and layered textures echo the rain itself: relentless, beautiful, full of quiet stories. This is a painting about the warmth of family, the rhythm of everyday life, and the ache of living far from where you began.
